How big will they be??

When a puppy is 6 weeks do you measure how big they are??
And keep you in???
I have now puppy's and I have a very big male puppy,he was on 41 dags 19 cm...so I think he is very very big...
What is your experience.....
How big on what age and how big they will be....

I was in your shoes some months ago.
As the father of the litter was big, and the mother small. I was hoping to get something between, and it turned out so hehe.
I got 5 pupps, one of them turned out to big. He was 20 cm at the age of 8 weeks, he is now 37cm.
The other was 18 and 19. They are still in good size, 33-35.5cm and are 10 months old.

Sorry, no metric here, but Dale Miller's charts work for most of my dogs, as mine grow at the same rate as hers: Puppy Size

Some lines over here grow fairly quickly and have most of their height by six months, and only need to fill out a bit. Mine are very slow-growing.

What are your intentions with that puppy, are you going to show him or just keep as a companion dog? Because a I can see thee day he might get chance at shows, as the minis tend to be higher than the standard says.

37cm over here is an accepptable height, the ideal for a dog being 14 inches and this dog is only 1/2 inch taller then that.

This dog that is 37 cm tall, might be bigger today i realy dont know. But he is a pet, at a nice famely

Here in holland they don't like big dogs 35 or max.36 cm...
I will like to keep a female and now she is 18.5 cm at 6 weeks....
