This is a specialist site, you have to prove your involvement with showing Minis, becuase i gave up showing miinis a few years ago and have been asked for proof and show records before I can join, so be aware just having an interest is not enough! No

You were asked for proof? I thought you just had to provide your affix?

Here is the email I recieved.

Hi Sue,

Thank you for your registration at Schnauzer Information Network.

The SIN site is dedicated solely to those who show in conformation around the world.

Therefore, before I can approve your application, I will need some evidence of your direct involvement with purebred Mini Schnauzers in conformation showing. I need to see a website with your dogs show records or photos, or an explanation of your participation in conformation club activities.

I will await your reply.

Thank you,
Tania Kidd

Send her a link to the website and say you are active in judging the 3 sizes at top level.

Clarification of SIN Membership Requirements

Post  TKidd on Sun Feb 13, 2011 3:48 pm

Good morning,

I was recently made aware of a comment here regarding membership in the Schnauzer Information Network (SIN) website, and I would like to clarify what is necessary to become a member and why.

The site is specifically designed for the benefit & use of individuals who are directly involved with - or seriously interested in - raising and/or showing conformation Miniature Schnauzers.

The discussions involve topics that require some knowledge of conformation, and the many articles and interviews and show results relate only to people who would be familiar with the terminology, etc. of conformation fanciers/enthusiasts. Persons who are not involved with conformation and have no knowledge of associated discussions would be lost in such a website. (There are many other good sites - such as this one - where non-conformation breed enthusiasts are invited.)

Therefore, by my administrator's choice, ONLY people who can be determined to be directly involved in conformation - or those who have taken steps to become involved in the near future - will be given membership.

I hope everyone can understand the reasoning presented.

When I receive the application e-mail, I have only the information provided in the "BIO" and/or a website. If the BIO is empty, or contains generic information - and if I do not already recognize the applicant's name or kennel name, I must ask for further information. Grovelea's application e-mail is a perfect example (I have XXXXX'd out certain information for reasons of privacy.):

The following user registered for Schnauzer Information Network
and is pending admin approval

username: Grovelea
email: XXXXXXX
First Name: Sue
Last Name: XXXXXXX
City:
State: XXXXXX
Country: England
Email: England
Website:
Bio: schnauzerholic!

You can see that without a website for reference, and with only "schnauzerholic!" as the BIO information, it was necessary to ask Sue for additional input. Of course it is impossible for me to know every kennel name, every owner/breeder, or every judge from all around the world!

After the inquiry letter (which Sue has posted here), she replied to me providing enough information that I could admit her to membership:

In a message dated 1/25/2011 11:57:20 P.M. Pacific Standard Time, grovelea@XXXXX writes:
Hi Tania
I started in Giants in 1984, and Minis around 92, but don't show mini's
anymore just concentrate on showing Giants, not to worry I didn't
reaalise it was a specilist site. thanks any way
regards

This was my reply to the message above:

Sue,

I am happy to have you as part of our site with your experience in Minis -- if you are interested. Just let me know and I'll approve it. If you're not interested, I will understand.

Tania

I read Sue's 2nd e-mail as saying that she was more interested in Giant Schnauzers now than Minis, and wouldn't care to join SIN.

I hope this clarifies the exchange. Certainly Sue had (and still has) the opportunity to join the SIN membership, but apparently chose not to do so as I never heard from her again.

Because of the tremendous amount of my own material (much of it from ten years publication of The MINI Magazine and 5 years of the Miniature Schnauzer Worldwide Yearbook) presented on the SIN site, it is in my own best interests to somewhat "protect" it with some very limited "screening" of the SIN applicants.

It is not designed to prevent any Mini-Schnauzer conformation-involved individual from participating - even if they have retired from showing. All experience will be recognized and valued! Smile

If anyone has any questions about SIN membership, please contact me directly at schnauzerinfonet@aol.com

Thanks for the opportunity to explain!

The Successful show in over 60 movies and televisions per year, especially the show in 1983 movie Risky Business sported by Tom Cruise, presented a Wayfarer liking trend. Meanwhile, the collections of Ray Ban Wayfarer sunglasses have enlarged from the only 2 models in 1981 to the 40 models in 1989, which can meet peoples diverse tastes. ray ban sunglasses RB3357 - Glass Glass <BR>ray ban sunglasses RB3379B Polarised Metal
