Hello guys! I am new here. I am also staying for now in the Philippines, but I live in Los Angeles, California. I'll be back there in a couple of weeks.

Where are you here in the Philippines, Ack? This is a great country. I enjoyed it here in Angeles City and I hope I can come back.

I left 3 dogs back in CA. 1 Miniature Schnauzer named Alex, 1 Shih Tzu named Yuri, and 1 Golden Retriever named Inah.

I'd like to upload their pictures but I don't know how to. I can only see "Insert Image". They are saved on my computer and not on a webpage. Please help. Thanks! Smile

Oh and by the way, you might wonder. My sister is the one taking care of my dogs while I am away. So no worries, they are in good hands.

Your photos must have a website URL... something like photobucket.com would work.

Re: Greetings from the Philippines

Post  allaboutourdogs on Mon Nov 22, 2010 7:02 pm

Hello everyone. I am back in the Philippines but not for good. Just a couple of months. This is the price I have to pay for getting a job that involves business around the globe. I need to be away from my home, my family and my dogs for business needs. I went back to LA last month and now I am back here so I have more time to hop in the forum. I get so homesick so I join forums like these. My dogs are doing great. But I terribly miss them especially my miniature schnauzer dog. He is such an adorable dog that you would surely love. Of course, my shih tzu and golden are also lovely but my miniature schnauzer is more affectionate. I believe each dog really has different traits.

With that, I am planning to adopt a new dog, miniature schnauzers are my first choice. I don't have time for miniature schnauzer training which I really miss and eager to do again. So I would like to ask anyone from the Philippines, specifically in Pampanga area, if they know a dog trainer/groomer/vet near or around vicinity?

Re: Greetings from the Philippines

Also, if you know any miniature schnauzer dog for adoption, please tell me. I'd rather adopt than buy. A friend of mine said that buying from these pet stores are not safe because sometimes, these dogs are stolen. Adopting from dog shelters is a better idea. You actually help the dog community in that way. Come to think of it, pet stores want to sell and make profit out of these dogs. While dog shelters want to help and rescue these dogs. So where will you go? Just a thought for us dog lover to ponder.

By the way, I hope you guys can tell me where dog shelters are located in Pampanga. I hope they have miniature schnauzers I can choose from.

The only concern I have about miniature schnauzer adoption is when I would be relocated to another area/country. I hope I can get my possible new dog a passport but there are some countries that do not allow dogs in planes. If I won't be allowed to bring the new dog with me, that would be another problem. Is it possible to give back the dog I adopted to the dog shelter? Any advice, please? Thanks in advance. Smile

You need to ask your questions on one of the Filipino dog forums (both also have schnauzer boards):

Dog-Tracker Online

Pinoy Pet Finder
